|
|
Online safety is something we take
seriously at Hi2 world. Our Chat room can be a safe place to have a
laugh if you just remember a few important things. All you really need
to do is keep your intelligence about you and trust your judgement. Take
a look at the key points below. |

|
|
Basic Safety Features |
-
NEVER give out any personal information. This includes your
address, telephone number etc. We always advise against meeting
anyone you meet online in person.
-
You should never really meet up with someone you chatted to
online - even if you think the person is OK. Online people are
seriously clever and will often spend months gaining your trust
before asking to meet you.
-
Our chat room offer you the facility to prevent incoming private
messages. Simply click on the 'Options' button once you have logged
into the chat, and deselect the option marked 'Accept New Incoming
Private Chats'.
-
You can also ignore incoming private messages from a specific
user. To ignore a specific chatter, click their nick name from the
Users list and click the 'Ignore' button which can be found on the
options list.
-
Our chat room contain a language filtering mechanism which
prevents most offensive language from some of the users.
-
Posts made on our Forums are moderated at random. If you see any
abusive posts, please contact us so we may investigate.
-
If you are being abused, feel free to send a private message to
one of our Chat Administrators or Moderators by selecting their name
from the users list and clicking the 'Private' option. If Chat
Administrators or Moderators is not available, you can block
incoming private messages as described above.
-
If you ever feel threatened by other users simply exit the chat
room - you are always the person in control. Please feel free to
report any abuse to us via support@hi2mail.com
